Carlton built Catalina 57CM

This bicycle was built in the Carlton frame shop in England. Hand built with Reynolds 531 tubes and long point Italian luggs. Frame is completely chromed and was painted with translucent paint. I think it looks better without the paint. DurAce cranks, Shimano Crane derailleurs, DiaCompe center pull brakes, Cinille ttt stem and handle bars, New Brooks B17 saddle, and soon to have Hand Sewn Elk Hide bar wraps. Note the spot on the fork, a braised on boss to mount a headlight.

Brake Drop Link

Even using TekTro long reach side pull brakes, the smaller diameter of the 650B wheels require a drop link fabricated from a piece of 1" x 1/4" aluminum bar stock.
